Accommodation information below...
Accommodation at Sea Change is unique and special in terms of our focus on peacefulness, privacy, disconnection from the chaos of the modern world – and most importantly connection to our incredible setting on this amazing island. Our fales (Tongan for “house”) have been carefully designed and well-spaced to provide you with your own private sanctuary tucked just within our natural coconut forests only metres from our beach. This way you can enjoy a stunning view of the sea while keeping cool within the shade of our island forest – and have no idea anyone else is on your island!
Looking forward to time alone with your family or that special person in your life? Simply retreat to your secluded fale and enjoy a glass of wine on your deck, a good book in your private hammock, or just lie on your comfortable bed and listen to the sound of swaying coconut trees and gentle waves on the beach in front of you. If you feel like socialising just walk down your path to our dining & bar area where there are always great conversations to be had and new friends to be made. Don’t let our theme of an eco-retreat fool you into thinking a stay at Sea Change is roughing it. Quite the contrary! We’ve strived for luxurious comfort while keeping true to a minimal footprint and being absolutely disconnected from the grid – and in all honestly we have achieved this. Want proof?
- Room servicing as required (eco friendly!)
- Top quality bedding with either long single or queen mattresses or a combination of both (we personally tested them before buying!). Standard set up is a queen bed in tents and one of each in the wooden fales. Please let us know when booking if you require something different.
- A private bathroom with showers, basin/sink and toilet
- Fresh/clean water from collected rain
- Solar powered
Sea Change only has 6 guest fales as we believe anything more would detract from your remote & secluded experience. We offer two fale types:
“Glamping” style tent units placed on elevated wooden platforms with a view of the sea. Our spacious safari tent fales are approximately 3.6 metres wide by 2.7 metres long and more than 2 metres tall. Each tent fale comes with a queen size bed as standard. Or two XL single size beds can be requested (by email) instead if available. They also include a private bathroom with instant hot water showers, basin/sink and a composting toilet – and solar lighting within the tent and bathroom. Our tent fales also have a private front garden area with hammock, and large decks with a table and chairs for relaxing with a glass of wine or playing cards while looking at the sea.
Large wooden fales
Large wooden fales which are available for booking as of June 2017. Our new fales have a very large interior living area of 4 by 6 metres, large wooden decks and private bathrooms with basins/sinks, toilets and showers. Each wooden fale features a view of the sea along your own personal pathway to the beach. Bedding arrangements come with a queen size bed plus a king single which can be arranged for families with children. An additional king single can be requested for larger families. Please request when inquiring.
Sea Change was meticulously laid out to carefully plan where each fale would go. Our goal is to ensure all guests will enjoy everything this island has to offer within a context of absolute comfort and the ability to socialise or retreat to a private sanctuary as desired.
