Each year, humpback whales migrate to the warm waters of Ha'apai, Tonga, offering the rare opportunity to encounter these extraordinary animals in their natural environment. Sea Change Eco Retreat offers small-group whale swimming and whale watching from our base on Uoleva Island, with a strong focus on safe, respectful and ethical interactions.

Every encounter is different and entirely on the whales' terms. Sightings and swims can never be guaranteed — our experienced guides and skippers work with what nature gives us, while respecting the whales, their behaviour and Tonga's whale-watching regulations.
